Topic: Approach in Retake Cases

Short Clip From Lecture

Summary

The retake of a case allows us to look at the case afresh. It provides us with an opportunity to add information from the old case record as well as the follow ups and see the case with the new information that we have obtained.

It often happens that we cannot elicit all the characteristics of the patient during the first meeting. Also, the patient themselves are quiet well-behaved. But by the time we reach the fourth or the fifth follow-up we realise the real nature of the person. Is he demanding? Or quarrelsome? What does he emphasise on? We must look at the entire case with this new data and analyse whether the remedy still fits the case.

In this Lecture Dr Sankaran guides us his approach in Retake cases.
